Then I run to the web to find some review for this servo, and found yours. After plug it in my receiver, I noticed that the servo was overshooting. I would strongly recommend however, that people take a moment to drop a dab of hot-glue or acid-free silicon glue on the motor leads - just to pre-empt the inevitable." However, if you just want a bullet-proof servo that has a snot-load of torque and costs little more than a standard servo then these are worth a look. If you fly iMAC or turbine-powered models (where precision and reliability is of paramount importance) then I strongly suggest you stick to the more expensive options. The plane also felt less "solid" in rudder response during knife-edge and in a hover - but the Hitec certainly wasn't over four times better (as the price might suggest it should be). I threw one on the rudder of my Katana 3D plane (replacing an HS5925) and I did immediately notice the slower speed. The ultimate test however, is how do they fly? The quality servos have a markedly better resolution, are rock-steady when repositioning and don't even budge when subjected to load - all areas where the MG995 suffers. Its' when put alongside a "quality" coreless digital that the MG995 shows that it really is a low-cost servo. However, if you're planning to compare this servo to something like the Hitec HS5945 (digital, coreless, metal-gears which sells for around $90) then you'll be disappointed. You get what would appear to be a bullet-proof metal gearset, a supposedly coreless motor, a digital amp and plenty of torque at a faster than average speed. If you're looking at it as a sub $20 budget servo then it's not bad at all. The wires to the motor are unsupported and will almost certainly break through fatigue over time if the servo is exposed to moderate or high levels of vibration. The feedback pot and motor are connected to the PCB by wires and dabs of glue support these wires only where they mount on the pot. The PCB on all the units I inspected was incorrectly inserted into the case so that it was sitting on an angle rather than square to the bottom (not a biggie but perhaps indicative of a lower QC standards?). physically, the assembly leaves a little to be desired. these servos adhere to Futaba standards (spline and direction) but come with a JR/Hitec connector.ĩ. without a servo -arm, the weight is 2oz exactly, not the 1.78oz advertised.Ĩ. resolution is "okay" but not as good as most other brands of digital servos and there are even some good non-digitals that are better.ħ. This is to say that if you command the servo to move clockwise to a position, it will actually move past that position (by 3 degrees or so) then move back to the correct position.Įven more strangely, if the servo is at rest and you try to move the arm, it actually moves *towards* the pressure being applied.Ħ. In essence, this mismatch manifests itself as significant overshoot when the servo is repositioning. the servo-amp is not well matched to the motor/geartrain/feedback pot. they do appear to operate with a higher motor drive frequency than a regular non-digital servo so may well be digital.ĥ. they are all metal geared - even the gear driven from the motor shaft appears to be metal, unlike most other MG servos which use a nylon gear at this point in the train.Ĥ. they are quite fast, perhaps as fast as claimed - again, I've yet to actually measure them.ģ. they are very torquey - I haven't measured the torque yet but it may well be the amount claimed.Ģ. "I've been checking these servos out and can report the following:ġ. FYI, on 11-22-2005 XJet posted the following on the RCUniverse RC Radio Forum:

To get the moonpool + vehicle bay unlock, you have to dive to 370m to Marg's base. OR, you can make a Seatruck Fabricator Module and build it there. In order to get the MK1 modules, you need a Vehicle Bay. Originally posted by Catalytic:This is, IMO, a huge oversight on the level design team. The moonpool and vehicle bay need to be higher up. I either couldn't reach them safely, or I could go much deeper. While I did eventually go there, they were never a frontier to explore. Instead, this single unlock let me go from 150m to 500m rapidly without any real time spent in the 200-300m range exploring those zones. This is one of the biggest roadblocks in the game, currently, IMO and something which REALLY needs to be fixed. You simply can't safely just explore that deep without worrying about having to get back up to your seatruck at 150m without getting lost on the way. Neither would have been possible if I didn't know exactly where to go and exactly what I was looking for after watching YouTube videos. I had not found the Ultra high capacity one yet. I was able to do both with a High Capacity (135s) tank. To get the fabricator, there are not enough fragments in the Purple Vents, so you'll have to dive to Deep Twisty Bridges at 300+m. Kinda wish that the truck had an artificial horizon indicator for other areas. This is, IMO, a huge oversight on the level design team. Never really had a problem with a steep angle on modules after docking at the moonpool- used to elevate to docking range without needing to change angle. I often reconstitute the train depending on the purpose of the run and I'm not aware of how to do that other than manually swimming the modules to their desired location. To get back to the OP's question, I'm not aware of a better way of storing and organizing the train than what you are doing. If the train remains at a steep angle, hitting the enter key will automatically place you at the controls of the Seatruck where you can just drive away. If you park the train at a steep angle, hitting the exit key will pop you directly into the water in one step. For the latter, you first have to exit the pilot seat and then you can exit the vehicle. With a train, that's a two step process for both entrance and exit. When gathering, you have to pop in and out of the Seatruck to get to the resources. Still, I found it easier to just disconnect the train when at a flat angle close to the moonpool and then dock the Seatruck.īTW, you can use this bug/feature as an exploit in resource gathering with a Seatruck train. It's more of an irritant than an issue since the fix is to be very careful in your approach angle or go back to the train after disconnect and manually reorient the modules. That's problematic if you're coming from a resource run and have a bunch of storage modules you want to unload after docking. You can then enter the truckless train, but you are prevented from walking from one module to another because of the angle. Since you have to drive the Seatruck upwards towards the moonpool, the automatic decoupling resulted in the train of disconnected modules at a steep vertical angle. There is an issue with this approach that I encountered. The difficult part was figuring out which direction I needed to face when docking with the moon pool so it wouldn't change the facing of the sea truck. Launching the sea truck from the moon pool would drop the sea truck pretty much right where it needed to be to reconnect to the parked modules. The moon pool would grab the sea truck disconnecting it from the attached modules. Originally posted by SquidBob:It has been a bit since I tried this but it used to be possible to dock with the moon pool without removing the modules. Coaching career Miami Heat (1995–present) Assistant coach (1997–2008) Ĭhris Wallace, then the director of player personnel for the Heat, convinced then general manager Dave Wohl to offer Spoelstra a position with the team. Although both offers held appeal, he chose to take the Heat position. In 1995, Spoelstra was offered another two-year contract with the club, but the NBA's Miami Heat also offered him a position. He began having back problems after the end of his second year with the team, and contemplated having surgery. It was in this setting where Spoelstra got his first coaching job, as coach of the club's local youth team. Once you open the iPod icon on the desktop or from Finder, here's what to do on a Mac: On the flip side, the ID3 tags make it harder to retrieve specific songs or albums.Īccessing ipod_control in a Mac takes a little more work. Internally storing music files with ID3 tags allows iTunes to catalogue and cross-reference music more easily. Those mP3 tags embed information such as title, artist, last time skipped and other data - not the original filename. That's because they're derived from ID3 tags. The songs' filenames probably won't be recognizable. Open that, and behold the Music folder: it contains multiple folders with clusters of song files. Toggling back to the contents of the iPod disk drive, you should see the ipod_control folder. Today the palace gardens are open to the public and are one of Copenhagen’s most popular parks. These gardens were modified and expanded over time, and have influences from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical periods. Like so many other royal residences, Rosenborg Palace is surrounded by a vast array of gardens. They each utilize brick masonry, copper-clad roofs, classical influences, and many other Renaissance elements to create a style unique to the buildings of Christian IV. Both castles share a similar architectural identity and have a strong influence from Dutch Renaissance Architecture. Christian IV also built Frederiksborg Castle, a much larger structure located about 23 miles (38 km) north of the city. It was commissioned by King Christian IV as his primary residence in the center of the city. Rosenborg Castle is by far the most notable work of Renaissance Architecture in Copenhagen. The green copper spire at the top of the tower was completed in the 19th century and like many other spires within the city, it’s built in the Neo-Baroque style. Today the lowest portion of the tower is the only original part of the building after most of the structure was lost in a fire in 1795. Nicholas Church is one of Copenhagen’s oldest churches, although it has been significantly modified since the Gothic Age. During the 18th century, the upper portions of the tower were added. Like all of Copenhagen’s Gothic churches, it contains a tower that’s significantly taller than the surrounding city. Most of the ground level and the base of the tower date to the Gothic Age, but other elements were added later on. Over time the church was heavily modified, and it contains a blend of different styles. Peter’s church was originally built in the 1200s, but large portions of it burned down in the late 1300s. The main entrance on the side of the building is surrounded by intricate stonework dating to the Baroque Age, while the rest of the church is much older and doesn’t have a lot of intricate details. In the image above you can see how the older Gothic Portions of the church are blended with the newer Baroque additions. Like all of the city’s older churches, it’s made of brick and it was heavily modified later on in the Baroque Age. Originally founded in the 13th century, The Church of the Holy Spirit is one of the best-preserved examples of Gothic Architecture within Copenhagen. Map of Copenhagen highlighting the most notable works of Gothic Architecture within the city. The three buildings listed below are among the oldest surviving buildings in Copenhagen, and they show a window into how the city might have looked in the early middle ages. Many of Copenhagen’s oldest buildings were lost in fires and other conflicts, and most of the surviving structures from the Gothic Age were replaced or modified over time. The article below will take an in-depth look at the Architecture of Copenhagen, analyzing 36 different buildings and monuments found throughout the city.Ĭopenhagen is largely void of Medieval and Gothic Architecture when compared to other major European cities. Today Copenhagen is a global city, with a thriving economy and a strong tourism sector, and it’s one of the top destinations in Northern Europe. Copenhagen also contains a great deal of Neoclassical and Revival Style Architecture, thanks to a massive building boom that occurred during the 19th century. During the Renaissance and Baroque Ages, many incredible works of architecture were commissioned by the Danish Royal Family, and these structures remain as some of the city’s most impressive buildings. Copenhagen was made the capital of the Kingdom of Denmark in the early 1400s, and from then on it emerged as the political, economic, and cultural center of the nation. It was originally settled in the late Viking Age, and it’s one of the greatest cities in Scandinavia, rivaling others like Stockholm, Oslo, and Helsinki. (Which, for the sake clarity, I should state that I did not.) Underlying all activity on your part are the demands and production values of various buildings - obviously different for different factions - the balancing of which will keep you engaged. Fighting pirates, for example, is something that all factions can get involved in - crucial if you are playing a multiplayer game. This system also spawns various missions, which you can get involved in for rewards. During sandbox games (and the freeform sandbox "continuous mode", plus single scenario missions are very much the heart of things here) offers a bunch of diplomatic options, and how these are managed by you and the other factions can have direct effect on factional economies. Instead this eco stuff plays into the "world" state you find yourself in. It should, I feel, have gone somewhere, or said something, about either possible ethos. I feel like the game is leaping in at the deep end of contemporary issues and then just treading water. The structure of the game is much the same no matter which side you choose, it's just that the cities you build will be a little different. Peculiarly, given its hot-topic setting and polar factions, there is almost no real difference between choosing the dirty industrialists over the eco dudes, and no palpable reward for being "green" over eating the planet, aside from the specific bonuses that each has inherent to it. These give you the option of building underwater, which is certainly a new frontier for the game, although really quite similar to building on the surface. These act a median between the two sides, and are unlocked once you've tackled the large chunk of the game. There's a third way, too, with the SAAT, who are like a super-techno faction who built themselves a new life under the sea. Actually they're called The Eden Initiative and The Global Trust, but you get the idea. There are two main factions: Eco dudes and smoke-belchers. Unlike 1404, however, it's all gone a bit techno-futurist, and your activities are conducted from an "Ark", a giant submersible which can be used a generalised mobile base and trading platform. It feels extraordinarily similar to its immediate predecessor, Anno 1404, with your time split between city building and resource tinkering (which you do most of the time) with a bit of pootling about controlling a ship to perform various errands on the side. Not an afterthought as such, but certainly at the bottom of the list.Īll this is true of Anno 2070, which blasts out of the traditional historical setting to create a game set in the future, and against a backdrop of global climate disaster. There is some capacity to make war with your little navy, but it's all but relegated to occasional missions and the most tenuous end-game situations. Trading, with merchants, and with other factions, is essential. The collection of resources cannot, as in most RTS games, be done in isolation, either. "Levelling up" neighbourhoods (a sort of formalised gentrification) is essential to accessing the higher tiers of the tree. The limits to this are what makes the challenge of them interesting.Īnno works like so: Building relies on a meticulous tech tree in which technologies are only unlocked if the right kinds of people live in your settlements. Essentially they are about building towns and reaping resources, with a hint of high-seas naval activity. That is to say they are uncommon within the general landscape of games, but nonetheless unexotic as experiences. The Anno games exhibit a formula that is unusual without ever being weird. I've been wading through its depths for the past week or so and I am now able to tell you Wot I Think. Blue Byte and Related Designs recently finished their latest trading and building game, Anno 2070 - this time set in later part of the current century, in a world where climate politics underlie the tale of commercial striving - and released it onto the wild seas of the internet. It’s not the most powerful bike out there but it works quite well if you’re willing to pedal along. Overall, this is a fun, affordable electric bike produced by Currie Technologies (a long time leader in the space) that comes with a good warranty and looks great. The swept-back handlebars keep rider head position elevated which is great for spotting cars and relieving shoulders. This is less of an issue at lower speeds but worth considering for sensitive riders. Call or come in today to Adventure Electric Bicycles. What Is an iZip Vibe 2.0 Step Thru The Vibe 2.0 Step Thru falls into the commuter category, and is one of iZip’s midpriced models. There are no shocks or extra air in the tires helping to absorb the bumps. Make Adventure Electric Bicycles your first stop for iZip electric bikes for any adventure. While it does look like a classic cruising bike it also rides a bit like one in that it’s stiff and unforgiving over cracks. The beautiful fenders, painted rims, chain guard and tires make this bike a real beauty. The smaller 24 volt 10 amp hour battery echos these same characteristics light but less powerful.īoth the battery and motor on this bike are positioned at the rear so the bike is back-heavy which makes lifting it a bit awkward but this layout is standard on many ebikes and has the benefit of applying force to the strongest points of the frame and keeping wires shorter and easier to manage. This is the standard size of electric bike motor in many European countries and it does mean that as a rider you’ll be required to pedal more, but the upside is that it weighs less. OWNER’S MANUAL Adult: 11th Edition, 2015 Juvenile: 4th Edition, 2017 This manual meets ISO-4210, and EN 14764, 1471 Standards. This is why we ask that you read and fully understand your owner’s manual before riding your new bike. It is relatively lightweight and with the nice low step, it is very easy to maneuver. At IZip Bicycles we are concerned about your safety and well-being. It’s a great entry-level ebike with a Bosch motor and battery that will keep running for years. While the hub motor on this bike is only a 250 watt, it still moves the bike considerably well. The Izip Vibe has been our go-to ebike for small ladies that just want to keep riding into their golden years. It’s easy and comfortable to pedal, doesn’t weigh a whole lot (especially compared with electric bikes in the same price range) and offers several high quality extras that improve the aesthetic and function of the bike as a city or neighborhood rider. It offers something unique in a the world of ebikes where larger motors and big beefy tires get a lot of attention. The IZIP E3 Path is a hidden treasure in my opinion. You can see the updated E3 Path+ review here or continue reading for info on the old model which may be found used or on sale at local electric bike shops. In 2014 the motor, battery pack and control system was updated to offer more power and provide a smoother ride. We have many styles to choose from in stock now. This review is for the first generation of IZIP E3 Path electric bikes. Adventure Electric Bicycles will get you fitted and give you a demo ride on an iZip so you can see for yourself. |
